At school we are learning about Indians here is some information about the Kwakiutl tribe!
The Kwakiutl depend on wood and fish (salmon).
Wood-- they make shelter ( longhouses),trapes, spears, canoes(dugouts),masks, clothing (bark),totem poles.
Fish-- caught mostly during summer, they would dry and save the SURPLUS (extra) for the winter.
The Kwakiutl had a permanent village, but would leave in the summer to fish . Over the cold winter months, they would return
to their village and hold potlatches, tell stories and legonds.
